Because Mondays are hard and sometimes we need a little inspiration…

change

Change is hard. And change can be scary. But change is also necessary. Change can be good. Change can be exciting. So rather than fight it, try to accept the ever changing adventure ahead of you.

mosquitoI believe a lot of the time we think taking action and making a difference comes from some grand gesture. I  don’t think that should be the case. Make it your goal to make a difference today. No matter how small. Smile at a stranger. Pick up a piece of litter. Donate a few dollars. Discuss ideas and current events. Reflect on your place in the world. If everyone did one small thing each day, it would be like a room full of mosquitoes! This post is starting to making me itchy… Happy Monday!

learning

It’s easy to think that if you aren’t constantly working towards a goal, you’re wasting your time. Remember this isn’t true. Remember that every experience, good or bad, is shaping you into who you are. And even if things don’t go exactly how you planned, you learned something new and are a different person because of it. Keep trying. Keep learning.

optimistIn college I was constantly told that failure is a good thing and we need it to grow and innovate. This however did not seem to apply to exams… But anyway, the ability to see a misstep as a learning opportunity is a great thing. Failure won’t define you unless you let it. Nurture your missteps and cha cha real smooth through your Monday.

starsI love star gazing. Stars have an incredible way of reminding us to keep things in perspective. They remind us of how small some of our problems are and how we are all united in this huge, amazing universe. So if things get you down today, remember to take a step back look at the whole picture. Keep your head up and find the beauty in everything.
